Out-of-form Virat Kohli will be rested for the upcoming five-match T20 series against the visiting South Africa side. The break is expected to help the former India skipper to recharge his batteries before the England tour.
The selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma would allow Kohli to take some time off from the action after spending considerable time in bio-bubbles.
Kohli is going through the worst form of his career as he hasn’t scored a hundred in more than two years.
“Virat will be rested for the South Africa series as he has been playing regular cricket for a long. Even the stay in the bio-bubbles has impacted the right-handed batter,” s senior BCCI official told PTI.
“It has been a policy that players will be given breaks from time to time.”
