Rohit Sharma doesn’t laugh easily on the field. He is often seen scolding his Indian teammates for their mistakes and not paying attention to his instructions. However, when Rishabh Pant is around, Rohit finds it hard to control his laugh. This was revealed by the man himself on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.
Former players Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist wanted to know about the wicket-keeper’s slot for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Both of them have picked Rishabh in their squads.
In addition to him, Ishan Kishan, Jitesh Sharma, Sanju Samson, Dhruv Jurel, and KL Rahul compete for one spot.
Rohit opened up on Pant: “Rishabh is the only guy on the team who makes me laugh. He is witty, and his comments behind the stumps are actually hilarious. He has his own style of saying things, and I can’t control my laugh when I hear all the stuff he says.
“Whenever I want to laugh, I call him and were share a good laugh. I was actually disappointed when he missed cricket for more than a year due to the incident. I am happy that he is back on the field. When he was out of action, he was still making hilarious comments,” Rohit Sharma said.
Pant is leading Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League 2024 and has done well as a batter and wicket-keeper. He was named the Player of the Match for his all-round contribution against Gujarat Titans.
Delhi has won three matches in the 17th season.
