England all-rounder Moeen Ali has identified Team India’s new captain. He feels Ravindra Jadeja is capable of leading the national team in the future.
Jadeja had a flop IPL 2022 as a captain and resigned from his post. Moeen was a part of Chennai Super Kings in the 15th season of the tournament.
Asked about Ravindra’s leadership qualities, Moeen said Jadeja is inexperienced as a captain and will get better.
“Jadeja is inexperienced in terms of captaincy and it was tough to lead Chennai Super Kings. But he has a good brain and he could be a good leader in the future.”
In 8 IPL matches, he scored 112 runs and took 5 wickets.
Jadeja has returned to the Test side after recovering from his injury and will likely play against England. The sub-continent country has reached the European country for the fifth and final Test of the series.
India were leading 2-1 when the last game was called off due to COVID-19 outbreak in the Indian camp.
Meanwhile, captain Rohit Sharma is down with virus and his participation in the contest is still not confirmed.
