South African player Wayne Parnell said that Suryakumar Yadav is the most feared T20 batsman due to his aggressive batting. Surya scored a 33-ball 50 in India’s eight-wicket win over South Africa in the first T20I of the series.

“For me, he is the best T20 batter in the world at the moment. He has a 360-degree game, which is very difficult for bowlers to contain,” he said.

“It is about focusing on the ball. He is allowed to play good shots, but he has been lucky sometimes. He is a guy whom I have enjoyed watching the last couple of months. He is playing good cricket,” said Parnell.

Parnell said South Africa’s below-par show in the opening game doesn’t need any review as there is no need to panic before the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

“We didn’t play good cricket, but that’s part and parcel of the game. There is no need to panic with just one failure,” he added.

Kagiso Rabada and Parnell bowled well, but Anrich Nortje and Tabraiz Shamsi struggled.
