Former Pakistan player Danish Kaneria has named his T20 team of the year 2021. His team includes four Indians, three from Pakistan, two each from England and Australia and one from New Zealand.
Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam are the openers. The two were unstoppable and added 1165 runs as a pair with five century stands and two half-centuries. Jos Buttler was included as the third batter. He amassed 589 runs at an average of 65.44 with a strike rate of 143.40 with a century and five fifties.
Liam Livingstone, Mitchell Marsh, Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin are the all-rounders.
Shaheen Afridi, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and Adam Zampa completed the bowling line-up. Kaneria added 12th man in form of Rishabh Pant.
Some big names like KL Rahul, Rahul Dravid, David Warner and Virat Kohli failed to make it to the squad.
