The warm-up game ahead of ICC World Cup 2023 between Pakistan and New Zealand on September 29 in Hyderabad will be played without fans. According to the Indian Express, the decision has been taken due to the availability of less security on the match day.
The BCCI has announced that the fans who have booked tickets for the clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will get a refund.
Earlier, the police had requested the association to delay the fixture due to Ganesh Visarjan and Milan-Un-Nabi. However, the BCCI refused to change the schedule.
“The game will be played behind the closed doors and those who have booked the tickets, will be refunded,” a BCCI official confirmed the following, as quoted by The Indian Express.
