Mohammed Siraj bowled exceptionally well and took three wickets in the first half of the New Zealand innings. Apart from him, R Ashwin took 4 wickets, while Axar Patel dismissed two batters. Jayant Yadav, who was included in the Playing XI after a long time, took one wicket.
