Kane Williamson is not ready to take India lightly despite the absence of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. He feels the visitors are capable of beating any side in the world. The captain was asked if he considers the Indian team a second-string unit. Kane said that the players present in New Zealand have great individual qualities.

“I’ve got no doubt they all will be big players for the Men in Blue. I have seen their performances in the Indian Premier League,” said Williamson.

Stating that the Kiwis will have a great chance to prepare for the World Cup in 2023. He said that other have already started their preparations for the event in India, and New Zealand would want to give opportunities to all players.

“Most teams are not far away from finding their perfect players, and with the ODI series against India, the New Zealand players will learn a lot,” said Williamson.

“I am sure guys will get their chances to show their talent. We will have to wait and see how the pitches behave,” he added.
