Earlier, Nepal were 12/2 at one stage, with openers Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh back in the dug out, but Kusal Malla (30 off 21) added 58 runs off 45 balls with captain Paudel for the third wicket.
Navin Bidaisee got rid of Malla and Paudel, but Gulsan Jha (22 off 16) and Dipendra Singh (17 off 19) took the team over the 140-run mark.
Jason Holder (4 wickets) and Navin Bidaisee (3 wickets) were the stars for their team. West Indies failed to challenge Nepal, and the fall of regular wickets derailed their run chase. Navin Bidaisee (22 off 25) was the top run-getter.
Fabian Allen (19 off 14) and captain Akeal Hosein (18 off 9) hit some shots in the end, but the Windies fell short as Nepal earned a historic win. Nepal are 1-0 ahead in the three-match series, with the second match to be played on September 29.
