Tamil Nadu wicket-keeper batter Narayan Jagadeesan has been sensational in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. On Monday, November 21, against Arunachal Pradesh. he hit the fifth successive hundred, becoming the first cricketer in the world to do so.
Jagadeesan made full use of the poor bowling of Arunachal and brought his century in 76 balls. Jagadeesan then pressed the attacking button and smashed the next 100 runs in just 38 balls. He added 77 more runs to his tally to break Rohit Sharma’s record of 264 runs.
The Tamil Nadu batter also passed England’s Alistair Brown, who held the record for the highest individual score in List-A. In his knock of 277 runs off just 141 balls, he hit 25 fours and 15 sixes.
