Namibia are hogging the limelight after defeating Sri Lanka in the qualifying round of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. The associate nation didn’t let the current Asia Cup champions to settle down and thumped them by 55 runs.
Former India player and the greatest batter, Sachin Tendulkar, took to Twitter to laud Namibia.
Namibia scored 163/7 with Jan Frylinck scoring 44 off 28 balls, laced with 4 fours. JJ Smit accumulated an unbeaten 31 off 16 balls with the help of 2 sixes and as many fours.
Chasing 164, Sri Lanka were dismissed for 108 runs. David Wiese, Bernard Scholtz and Ben Shikongo took two wickets each, respectively.
