Deepak Chahar is fit and will represent India in a three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe. He was out of action for a long duration of time and even missed the Indian Premier League 2022.
He was supposed to play for Chennai Super Kings after they bought him for INR 14 crore, but the pacer couldn’t recover on time.
Chahar batted and bowled well in South Africa and was hoping for a long run, but an unfortunate injury derailed his plans. He is injury prone and has missed much international cricket.
However, he is raring to go after recovering and wants to win the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
“I’m fully fit now. Looking forward to contributing to the team’s win. My aim is to win the T20 World Cup for India,” he told News24 Sports.
India head coach Rahul Dravid is fond of him as he can also bat. Dravid wants a pacer who can contribute with the willow.
