Less than a day after the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) thrashed the Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 45 runs in IPL 2021, an old tweet of MS Dhoni from 2013 on Ravindra Jadeja has gone viral on social media.
In the match against RR, Ravindra Jadeja came up with an exemplary performance in the field, taking 4 catches. England and Rajasthan Royals pacer, Jofra Archer, has often been described as a ‘time-traveller’ for tweeting about future incidents.
But now, a tweet of MS Dhoni from 2013 which fits appropriately with Jadeja’s performance in the match against Royals at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, has gone viral.
“Sir Jadeja doesn’t run to take the catch but the ball finds him and lands on his hand,” MS Dhoni had tweeted on April 09, 2013. Dhoni isn’t among the most active cricketers on social media these days. His old tweets on “Sir Jadeja”, however, are often dug out by his fans.
Apart from taking the catches of Manan Vohra, Riyan Parag, Chris Morris and Jaydev Unadkat, Jadeja also took two wickets, including the wicket of Jos Buttler, who could’ve taken the game away from CSK.
After a disappointing IPL season in the UAE last year, CSK currently sit second in the points table with 2 wins and a defeat so far. They will now take on KKR at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday.
