Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most celebrated cricketers in the world. Though the former India captain doesn’t remain active on social media platforms and likes to keep his personal life low-key, his wife Sakshi often shares the family’s whereabouts.
Notably, Dhoni is currently holidaying with his family and friends in Shimla. Pictures of him spending quality time have gone viral on social media.
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper visited Himachal Pradesh after the state government removed restrictions and eased the COVID-19 norms.
The Chennai-based franchise recently took to its official Twitter handle and posted a photo of the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman in which he can be seen standing next to a wooden plank, which reads, “PLANT TREES SAVE FORESTS”.
Captioning the post, CSK wrote, “Planting the right thoughts! Thala #WhistlePodu #Yellove”.
Soon after the franchise uploaded the image, many fans praised Dhoni for passing on a strong message to everyone. But some of them also criticized him for posing next to a wooden plank, asking others to save forests.
On the cricket front, the 39-year-old was last seen in action during the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League before it was suspended due to multiple COVID-19 cases inside the bio-secure bubble.
While Dhoni failed to score heavily with the bat, he was at his usual best as a leader of the Yellow Army as CSK were placed second in the IPL 2021 standings prior to the suspension.
