MS Dhoni, the skipper of Chennai Super Kings, will participate in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League in 2022. However, the veteran doesn’t want to be retained as a No.1 choice player by his franchise.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Dhoni wants his team to give better deals to players who could play an important role after he leaves. He has conveyed his wish to the management.
Earlier, he had revealed his desire of playing his last T20 game in Chennai. The last edition of the league was moved to UAE for the second leg after the outbreak of Covid-19 cases in India. With the 15th season of the tournament returning to India, the matches are expected to be played smoothly.
Meanwhile, Dhoni-led CSK to fourth IPL title in 2021. The champion team defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in the finale.
