West Indies were once a dominating force in international cricket. It was impossible to beat them in Test cricket and one-day internationals. However, the situation has completely changed with Windies fighting for survival in red-ball cricket.

They have done well in T20Is but the situation remains bad in ODIs as well. Ex-West Indies player Winston Benjamin is helping young cricketers. He has made an emotional appeal to Sachin Tendulkar for donation. He also revealed that former India player Mohammad Azharuddin sent him some equipment. He also explained that he is looking for bats and not financial help.

“I don’t need money but 10-15 bats, that is good enough for me. I don’t want 20000 US dollars. I just want some equipment for young players,” said Benjamin on Vimal Kumar’s youtube channel.
