Madhya Pradesh's Yash Dubey performed Sidhu Moose Wala's step after reaching the game's three-figure mark.

Madhya Pradesh opener Yash Dubey has caught everyone’s attention after a stunning century in the Ranji final to give his side an edge over Mumbai.

With the help of Yash Dubey, Rajat Patidar, and Shubham Sharma’s three-digit scores, Madhya Pradesh have taken a lead over Mumbai in the first innings. In case the match ends in a draw, MP will lift the trophy on the basis of first innings’ lead.

Dubey amassed 133 of 336 balls and has revealed that Venkatesh Iyer and Avesh Khan motivated the team ahead of the final.

Both Avesh and Venkatesh are with the Indian team in Ireland.

Revealing the chat with the players, BCCI shared a video of two centurions discussing their performance in the Ranji Trophy 2022 final.

“Venkatesh Iyer and Avesh Khan motivated us ahead of the match. It is great for us that they are playing for India. It is not a drawback that they are not here (playing the final) but a motivation for us.”

Yash Dubey and Shubham Sharma also appreciated their fellow batter Rajat Patidar for his brilliant knock.

They said, “Having a player like Patidar gives everyone a lot of confidence”
