The representatives of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was involved in a heated argument with PCB and ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi on Tuesday. Naqvi is not ready to give the Asia Cup trophy and the medals to the Indian team despite their win over Pakistan in the final.
During the meeting, Naqvi told the BCCI officials that he was not informed of India’s decision not to accept the trophy from him. He came to the presentation ceremony, hoping to give the trophy and the medals to the winning team but he was made to look like a cartoon.
According to a PTI, BCCI’s Rajiv Shukla and Ashish Shelar told Naqvi to took keep the trophy in the ACC’s office in Dubai, from where the Indian Cricket Board would get it collected.

“The BCCI will complain to the ICC about Naqvi’s behaviour and Shelar left the meeting,” a BCCI source said.
“Shukla and Shelar said that the trophy belongs to India. It is the property of the ACA and no individual has the right to keep it,” the source added.
