IND vs AUS Mohammed Shami rest
Shami was impressive in the first two Tests of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy but was not included in the Playing XI in the third Test.

Mohammed Shami has been Team India’s best bowler in South Africa. The right-arm pacer took 8 wickets in the first Test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The visitors won the match by a big margin of 113 runs.

He took three wickets in the Johannesburg Test taking his series tally to 11 wickets. Shami has taken 45 wickets against South Africa in his career, and if he adds five more in the last game of the series, he would join the list of Indian bowlers with 50 or more wickets against the Proteas.

Anil Kumble (84 wickets) Javagal Srinath (64 wickets), Harbhajan Singh (60 wickets) and Ravichandran Ashwin (56 wickets) are part of the elusive list.
