In 2018, Jahan filed a case seeking monthly alimony of Rs 10 lakh

On the eve of the first ODI between Bangladesh and India, the Men in Blue dealt a heavy blow as their bowling spearhead Mohammed Shami was ruled out of the ODI series due to a hand injury.

The 32-year-old did not travel with the squad to Bangladesh on December 1 and will reportedly head to the NCA for rehabilitation. Shami was a part of the ODIs as well as the Test squad.

Shami, who would have led the bowling attack in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, is doubtful for the Test series as well, which will begin on December 14.

The BCCI has not officially updated about Shami’s injury. News agency PTI confirmed the news on Saturday morning.

“Shami suffered a hand injury after resuming training post the World Cup. He has not travelled with the squad and will report to the NCA,” a senior BCCI source revealed to PTI.
