In a rain-curtailed Super-Four match against Sri Lanka, Pakistan scored a competitive total of 252 runs in 42 overs. The Men in Green were in danger of getting bowled out under 200 runs, but a partnership of more than 100 runs between Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed brought their team back into the contest.

Rizwan scored 86 runs off 73 balls, laced with 6 fours and 2 sixes. On the other hand, Iftikhar managed 47 off 40 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Earlier, Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat first, with Pakistan making five changes from the team that faced India.

Imam-ul-Haq was ruled out just before the toss and was replaced by Fakhar Zaman.

Abdullah Shafique, who was playing his first ODI after a long time, slammed 52 off 69 balls. Fakhar (4), Babar (29), and Mohammad Haris (3) were not among the runs. For Sri Lanka, Matheesha Pathirana and Pramod Madushan took 3 and 2 wickets, respectively.
