Mohammad Nabi's son and Rashid's nephew to headline Under-19 World Cup 2024

The ICC Under-19 World Cup 2024 begins on January 19 in South Africa with 16 teams set to battle it out for 23 days. Meanwhile, eyes would be on Afghanistan, as the senior side was the most impressive team in the recently concluded fifty-over World Cup in India.

Talking about their Under-19 side, ACB announced the squad on January 10. Former skipper Mohammad Nabi would not miss a single moment from the tournament as his son Hassan Eisakhil, who is an opening batter, is all set to feature for Afghanistan’s Under-19 side in the upcoming World Cup.

Hassan will be partnered by Usman Shinwari, who happens to be Rashid Khan’s nephew. Here is Afghanistan’s complete squad.

Talking about Nabi, the 39-year-old once expressed his desire to play alongside his son for the national team.

“I will try to play a few more years for Afghanistan, and a few more years in leagues too. Hassan will grow more, and hopefully play Under 19s. If he has the ability to play for the national team, then hopefully he will play for the national team.”
