Former Pakistan player Mohammad Hafeez had questioned the appointment process of PCB chief. The position is currently held by Ramiz Raja. The 41-year old also criticised the decision to abolish the departmental and bank teams in domestic cricket, saying it has left many cricketers jobless.
PCB had scrapped the departmental and bank teams on the directions of Prime Minister and former Pakistan captain Imran Khan. Hafeez further said that PCB chief should be appointed after a proper election procedure.
Ramiz was elected after his name was proposed by Imran Khan. “The process is not right as the PCB chief comes on board after nod from the political leader, which hampers cricket in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Hafeez played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20Is.
