Karachi Kings head coach Wasim Akram backed Mohammad Amir for his on-field aggression in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2023. Amir has been under the scanner for targeting Pakistan players, especially captain Babar Azam.
Earlier, Shahid Afridi scolded Amir for talking badly about Babar in a press conference. However, Akram reckoned that the aggression adds to the beauty of the PSL.
“You need aggressive characters in the Pakistan Super League. I am all for Amir’s attitude. He is saying the right stuff as a bowler,” Akram said to Arab News.
“What’s the use of just shaking hands before and after the game?” he asked.
“I am all for the contest, and these little words off the field also add spice to the tournament. We should enjoy the stuff instead of slamming a player,” he added.
