The doubts were raised on his selection for the all important Ashes against England but Mitchell Starc has proved everyone wrong. He is the second highest wicket-taker behind Nathan Lyon in the ongoing series.
The selectors are reluctant to play him in the fifth and final Test, which would be a pink-ball affair.
The wise men want to manage the workload of their most threatening weapon, but the bowler has a different opinion.
He is ready to be a part of the game, considering his track record in the day-night Test matches.
“I am feeling good and not looking for break. It’s upto the selectors but I want to carry on. It is the last Test of an Ashes series at home. Also, it is a pink ball game too, so I would very much like to play,” said Starc.
