New Zealand is blessed with several match-winners, and despite being a small nation, they have successfully produced world-class cricketers. Glenn Phillips is an all-rounder, which every team needs, and he has been phenomenal for the Kiwis in international cricket.

After scoring 63 runs off 39 balls against Pakistan in the first match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, he took a one-handed catch of Mohammad Rizwan to stun the host nation in Karachi.

Suresh Raina saluted the Kiwi player for his all-round skills. “He took one of the best catches in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. I feel it would be number one on the list. New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner should pay a one-month bill for Glenn Phillips’ dinner for his contribution. He scored a fifty and then took a catch.

“He can bat, bowl, and field and every captain would want a player like him in the squad. Phillips has been amazing for New Zealand, and he is a busy cricketer. Glenn didn’t allow the Pakistan bowlers to dominate him, so he contrubuted in the fielding department,” Suresh Raina said on Sports 18.
