Abrar Ahmed vs ENG
Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed was all over England on Day 1 of the second Test against England in Multan.

Michael Vaughan has praised Pakistan debutant Abrar Ahmed, who took 7 wickets in the first innings of the second Test in Multan.

Abrar, who was one of the three changes made by Babar Azam’s team, was unplayable on Day 1 of the game.

Taking to Twitter, Vaughan showered praise on the 24-year-old, saying that Abrar will trouble the batters in the next few years.

“Looks like a bowler who will be causing a lot of trouble for a few years .. Got a bag of tricks.”

Abrar dismissed the first seven players, including all centurions from the opening game, which England won by 74 runs.

He is the third Pakistan spinner to take seven wickets in an innings on his Test debut. The other two were Mohammad Nazir vs New Zealand in 1969 and Mohammad Zahid against New Zealand in 1996.

Zahid Mahmood took three wickets as the visitors were bowled out for 281. Ben Duckett was the highest run-getter for his team, with 63 runs off 49 balls coming from his bat.

Pakistan finished the day at 107/2, with skipper Babar Azam scoring a well-compiled fifty.
