Lucknow franchise would compete in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The new franchise has already hired Andy Flower and Gautam Gambhir as head coach and mentor for IPL 2022. And now, Vijay Dahiya, the former India wicket-keeper batter, has come on board as an assistant coach.
The veteran has worked with Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals in the past, and his close bonding with Gambhir could help Lucknow in their first season of the cash-rich league.
KL Rahul is expected to lead the team in the 15th season of the tournament. Apart from him, the management is also interested in signing Rashid Khan and Ishan Kishan before the mega auction in February.
