Liton Das believes India won’t underestimate the hosts after an intense rivalry in recent years.

Litton Das was on fire against India in the ICC T20 World Cup. Chasing 185 in 20 overs, he slammed the bowlers to all parts of the ground, leaving the Men in Blue in shock.

The Tigers reached fifty in no time and had crossed 60 when the rain stopped the play.

The target was reduced to 151 in 16 overs when the game resumed. Although India got rid of Litton Das but not before he accumulated 62 off 27 balls, laced with 7 fours and 3 sixes at a strike-rate of 222.22. He achieved two mega records.

Litton Das is only the third batter to score 50 inside Powerplay in the history of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The other two are Stephan Myburgh (vs Ireland in Sylhet 2014) and KL Rahul (vs Scotland in Dubai 2021).

He is also the first player to score a T20I fifty at the exact moment the team total reached fifty
