India captain Rohit Sharma broke Yuvraj Singh's record for most sixes

Rohit Sharma has changed his batting approach after the ICC T20 World Cup in the UAE. He is playing his shots from ball one, which has resulted in failures. The same tactics has been followed by other batters as well.

The Men in Blue have posted big totals in T20Is but Rohit’s form has become a cause of concern for the management.

The 35-year-old hasn’t played a big knock since long and scored four fifties in the last 26 matches. In 2022, his batting strike rate is 142.48, but his average has dropped to 25.71, which is the lowest in nine years.

Former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener has suggested that Rohit Sharma should adopt his old style of batting and wants someone else to go after bowlers in the powerplay overs.

“I don’t know who has told him to play aggressive cricket from ball one of the game. He hasn’t been consistent and it is better for him to return to his old ways,” Klusener was quoted as saying by News18 CricketNext.

“There is no need to go faster. He knows how to score runs after facing a couple of deliveries. Rohit needs to be careful as he is a very big and important player. Rohit is a match-winner. If they want to go after the bowlers, it has to be someone else,” he added.
