Modi revealed that before the event began, he had promised a Porsche to any Indian player who could smash six sixes in an over.
“Ahead of the 2007 T20 World Cup, I announced that any player who managed to hit six sixes in an over or claim six wickets in an over would be rewarded with a Porsche,” Modi told Clarke on the Beyond23 Podcast.
Yuvraj was the only man to achieve the incredible feat, and after clearing the ropes for the sixth time, he immediately reminded Modi of the reward.
“Yuvraj looked over at me from the boundary, lifted his bat and ran straight towards me. I want my Porsche. I replied, give me the bat,” Modi added.
The former IPL chief kept his word, handing over the luxury car. In exchange, Yuvraj gave him the bat.
