Krunal Pandya has recovered from COVID-19 and has returned back to India from Sri Lanka. The India all-rounder was the first Indian player to test positive for the virus and was placed in isolation before the second T20I of the three-match series between Sri Lanka and India. Yuzvendra Chahal and spin all-rounder Krishanppa Gowtham, who had tested positive after Krunal, are still in Sri Lanka.

They will be allowed to return back home after testing negative twice and completing their quarantine period.

Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav have landed in England for the ongoing Test series between England and India.

Both the players have been sent as backups after Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar were ruled out of the series.

The Indian team is currently playing with England in the first Test of the five-match series at Trent Bridge in Nottingham.
