After constantly performing well in the domestic circuit, Krunal Pandya and Prasidh Krishna received their maiden ODI call-ups for Team India’s ongoing three-match series against England in Pune. Both players were included in the playing XI for the first ODI at the MCA Stadium on Tuesday.

Krunal was given his debut cap by his younger brother, Hardik Pandya. The Pandya brothers shared an emotional moment on the field as they hugged each other. Krunal Pandya pointed his debut cap towards the sky – remembering his father, Himanshu Pandya, who passed away recently.

“Cannot get over the feeling that you have left us. Still processing the loss and emptiness that you have left behind. There were so many things left to say and do. Miss you everyday Papa. Wanted to thank everyone who took the time out to message me and share this loss,” Krunal captioned a video on Instagram after his father passed away.
