Team India’s new captain and vice-captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul shared a 100-run plus partnership in the second T20I against New Zealand. Their opening stand of 134 runs led India to a comfortable win by seven wickets.
It was Rahul and Rohit’s fifth 100-run partnership in the shortest format of the game. They equalled the record of Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.
While Rahul scored 65 runs off 49 balls (6 fours, 2 sixes), Rohit amassed 55 off 36 balls ( 5 sixes, 1 four).
