Sanjay Manjrekar feels KL Rahul would like to prove to the selectors that he hasn't lost the hunger for the runs.

Matthew Hayden, the batting consultant of Pakistan for the ICC T20 World Cup, feels KL Rahul can cause serious damage to Pakistan’s hopes in the upcoming clash between the two arch-rivals. According to him, the opening batter can pose a threat to Pakistan in the high-profile game on October 24 in Dubai.

Hayden added that Rahul is dominating the shorter formats at the moment. The former Aussie player also spoke about Babar Azam, who will be leading Pakistan for the first time in the global event.

“There will be additional pressure on him as captain and batsman because he will be targeted and everyone will be wanting to like they say, put him in their pocket. Babar has command and presence and he needs to fulfil that role in a batting sense and captain,” Hayden said.

Pakistan have never beaten India in the T20 World Cup. The two rivals have clashed five times with the Men in Blue winning all the matches.
