Kolkata Knight Riders have added Tim Southee to the squad for the remaining 31 games of the Indian Premier League (IPL). According to a source, Southee will replace Pat Cummins, who has pulled out of the second leg citing personal reasons.

Having played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for six consecutive years, Southee went unsold in the 2020 auction. He last played for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Meanwhile, Cummins was impressive in the first leg of the tournament in India. However, the matches were called after the emergence of Covid-19 cases within the franchises.
