Hardik Pandya said that players are not thinking about the hype and outside noise ahead of the Asia Cup 2022 match against Pakistan.

India all-rounder Hardik Pandya said that players are not thinking about the hype and outside noise ahead of the Asia Cup 2022 match against Pakistan on Sunday, August 28.

Pandya, who recently returned to the national team, said India needs to focus on important things rather than what people think from outside.

“There is a lot of hype and pressure. However, as players, we have to make sure that we keep the outside noise outside and focus on important things,” Pandya said.

India had thumped the Men in Green in the last edition of the Asia Cup 2018.

After Sunday’s contest, India and Pakistan suffered injury concerns, with Jasprit Bumrah and Shaheen Afridi ruled out of the tournament.
