Kane Williamson: The new captain cool of international cricket
Kane Williamson has won the toss, and New Zealand are batting first against Sri Lanka in the ICC T20 World Cup.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is frustrated with his elbow injury, forcing him to miss the home Test series against South Africa. At times, the right-handed batter thought of getting his left arm that is stopping him from playing international cricket.

Although he is making progress, Kane has missed many matches since the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021.

“Cut it off… I’ve thought about that a few times. Everyone seems to have a different opinion of my injury. It is a tough pill to swallow. I am getting the support of the medical staff and New Zealand Cricket. But as a player, it is not easy,” he stated.

The 31-year old wants to get rid of his injury as soon as possible.

“Many people have recovered from this injury, so I am hopeful. I want to see the end of my struggles.”
