Jos Buttler, the white-ball captain of England, recently named the first five players of his dream ODI XI. However, there was no place for two greats Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Buttler will lead England in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023. They will play against New Zealand in the tournament’s opener on October 5.
England are the defending champions, having won the title in 2019. Meanwhile, Buttler went with Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma, Glenn Maxwell, Adil Rashid and Anrich Nortje in his team.
These players will play important roles for their respective nations, with only Nortje missing from the action due to an unfortunate injury.
