Buttler has 19, two more than Dhoni (17), who had achieved the feat in 2015 against Sri Lanka.

Jos Buttler is on a spree of creating a world record in one-day internationals. The 31-year-old was in sublime form in the recently concluded three-match ODI series against the Netherlands.

In the final game, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler decimated the Netherlands bowling attack as England cruised to an eight-wicket victory. While Roy amassed 101 to record his 10th hundred in the format, Buttler accumulated an unbeaten 86 to lead England to a clean sweep.

The Netherlands scored 244, and in response, England completed the task with 20 overs to spare.

With the ball, David Willey was the pick of the bowlers with 4-36. Buttler was named the Man of the Series for his exceptional batting display. “I thought we played well. We took wickets at crucial intervals,” said Buttler.

Butter, who hit seven fours and five sixes in his knock, surpassed Indian great MS Dhoni in a unique record. The England wicketkeeper now leads the list of keepers who have hit the most sixes in an ODI series. Buttler has 19, two more than Dhoni (17), who had achieved the feat in 2015 against Sri Lanka.
