Jos Buttler can become like MS Dhoni
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has compared Jos to MS Dhoni, who led India to three ICC titles.

Jos Buttler had a difficult start to his captaincy tenure after Eoin Morgan retired from white-ball cricket. England lost to India on home grounds, and the experts started doubting Buttler. However, the man rose to the occasion when it mattered the most.

He led England to the ICC T20 World Cup title in Australia. The English team defeated India and Pakistan in the semi-final and final.

Butter has restored his respect in the eyes of his critics and is now looking forward to the 50-over World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in India next year.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan has compared Jos to MS Dhoni, who led India to three ICC titles.

Mahi was India’s captain across formats for nearly eight years, while his tenure in limited-overs cricket was around 10 years. Vaughan believes Buttler can do the same for England.

“Now Jos Buttler has won the World Cup. He has a chance to create his own legacy like MS Dhoni, who led India for years and won a lot of trophies. Buttler can do the same, and he is concentrating on one format,” Vaughan wrote in The Daily Telegraph.

Dhoni and Buttler won T20 World Cups in their first assignments as skippers in an ICC tournament. The Indian legend then won the ODI World Cup in 2011.

The former England batter named England as favourites in the ODI World Cup in India next year.
