Jasprit Bumrah entered the record books during the Super 8 match against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium on February 22. Bumrah took three wickets in his team’s fifth match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, becoming the most successful Indian bowler in the history of the T20 World Cup. Bumrah went past R Ashwin’s tally of 32 scalps, and the speedster currently has 33 wickets.
He dismissed the likes of Quinton de Kock, Ryan Rickelton, and Corbin Bosch, but South Africa managed to reach 187/7.
