Former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer has predicted playing XI for the opening ODI against New Zealand. Jaffer has opted for all-rounders to strengthen the batting and bowling departments.

Shikhar Dhawan, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and Rishabh Pan are in the top order. He gave the No.5 slot to Suryakumar Yadav.

He went with Deepak Hooda and Washington Sundar as they could contribute to the departments.

Shardul Thakur and Deepak Chahar are known with the bat and ball, while Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik can trouble the batters with their pace.

The former cricketer took to Twitter to reveal his playing XI.
