Former India captain Kapil Dev feels Suryakumar Yadav is among the league of great players. He hailed him as a once in a century cricketer.
Kapil was making a statement on Suryakumar’s sensational 112 not out off 51 balls in the third and final T20I against Sri Lanka.
India scored 228/5 in 20 overs before the bowlers dismissed the visitors for 137.
Speaking to ABP News, the 1983 World Cup-winning captain compared SKY’s batting to Sachin Tendulkar, Viv Richards and Virat Kohli.
“I am loss of words on how to describe his batting. I have seen Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Viv Richards and Rohit Sharma. He is a part of the same league. Suryakumar Yadav plays unbelievable shots and can hit the ball anywhere. Very few cricketers can play like him. Hats off to him. He is once in a century cricketer,” said Kapil Dev.
