Ishan Kishan batting

On Saturday, India opener Ishan Kishan scripted history as the 24-year-old struck the fastest 150 by an Indian in ODIs.

In the ongoing 3rd ODI between India and Bangladesh, Kishan went all guns blazing against the Litton Das-led side and brought up his 150 in 103 balls, beating Virender Sehwag’s record of 150 (112) against West Indies in 2011.

He also surpassed Virendra Sehwag for another record, which is the highest individual score by an Indian.

Kishan scored 210 and surpassed Viru’s record of 175, which he scored against the Tigers in the 2011 World Cup. Kishan also went past Zimbabwe’s Charles Coventry accumulated 194 runs in Bangladesh in 2009.

Kishan has smashed 24 fours and 10 sixes in this innings, overtaking Sourav Ganguly’s record of 7 sixes, the most against Bangladesh in an ODI innings by an Indian.
