Ishan Kishan’s father had to be hospitalized when his son’s name was announced during the auction. However, when he was informed that Ishan was signed by Mumbai Indians for a sum of INR 6.2 crore, he took off the BP machine and rushed home, saying I will be fine now. That was in 2018. In 61 IPL games so far, he has amassed 1452.
He is expected to get a massive deal in this year’s mega auction, which will take place on February 12 and 13. His childhood coach Uttam Mazumdar spoke to Sportskeeda about his lad.
Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings are looking for a new captain for IPL 2022.
“He has good experience of leading sides. Ishan captained the Indian U19 team which had Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, and Khaleel Ahmed. Ishan has also captained Jharkhand in the 2018-19 season. Kishan has all the leadership qualities and he is ready to lead any side in the league.”
