Aakash Chopra believes Ishan Kishan might be the first preference for Mumbai Indians at the IPL 2022 auction. The five-time champions retained Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard for the 15th season of the tournament.
During a discussion on the Star Sports show Game Plan, Aakash Chopra was asked about the Mumbai Indians’ preferred order between Trent Boult, Quinton de Kock and Ishan Kishan.
“In my opinion, Plan A is Ishan Kishan, Plan B is Quinton de Kock and Plan C is Trent Boult. They will try their best to get Ishan Kishan back .”
Former KKR player further added that Mumbai might want to add Kagiso Rabada in the squad if his name comes before Trent Boult.
“They will try to get Kagiso Rabada if his name comes before Trent Boult as there is surety for the New Zealand pacer. He will be on the target list of many franchises.”
