Ishan Kishan has been admitted to the hospital after getting hit on the helmet during the second T20I between India and Sri Lanka at HPCA, Dharamsala.

According to the report, the left-handed batter sustained a head injury and was taken to a hospital in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

During the 4th over of Team India’s innings, Lahiru Kumara’s 146 kmph bouncer struck on Kishan’s helmet.

The southpaw continued batting but was dismissed after scoring 16 off 15 balls. Apart from the Indian player, Sri Lanka batsman Dinesh Chandimal was also taken to the hospital after he injured his thumb while fielding.

“I have been attached to the Indian team and was informed that one of the Indian players had sustained a head injury. He has been admitted to the hospital and he is under observation,” said Dr Shubham.

“A Sri Lanka is also in the hospital after injuring his thumb. We are monitoring everything right now,” he added.

Coming to the second T20I, Shreyas Iyer and Ravindra Jadeja played match-winning innings. Chasing 184, India lost captain Rohit Sharma in the first over.
