Former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg recently hosted a question and answer session on his official Twitter handle where many fans asked him a plethora of queries related to cricket. One such user questioned him “Is Pujara too slow in Tests?”.

Reacting to the fan, Hogg came up with an interesting reply. The 50-year-old wrote, “Not with the batters around him. You need someone like that to bat time. I actually enjoy watching him bat, appreciating his patience and determination.”

India’s Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara has often faced the backlash from fans and cricket experts for his poor strike rate. The most recent occasions include his innings during the 2020-21 Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia where he scored 271 runs in four Test matches at a strike-rate of 29.20.

However, Hogg lauded Pujara’s calm and composed attitude on the field.

Furthermore, another fan’s question was related to the most-talked-about topic in the cricket fraternity at the moment, World Test Championship. A Twitter user asked Brad Hogg to predict the outcome of the upcoming WTC final between India and New Zealand, starting on June 18 in Southampton.

At this, the Aussie replied, “Tough but I feel New Zealand playing two tests before the final will give them an advantage.”
