Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir took a dig at the Rawalpindi’s wicket used for the ongoing Test against Australia.
The pitch has nothing for the bowlers, and the batters have enjoyed batting on it, with two Pakistan players making big scores. Even the Australians have accumulated runs on the lifeless track.
“is pitch pe to bowlers ko ghar chale jana chaye batman’s ek doosre k sath khail lein😅😅😅😅. #PakVsAustraila (Bowlers should go home given the nature of this wicket and batsmen should play among themselves).”
The much awaited series in Pakistan after a gap of 24 years has started on a low note, considering the batters from both sides making merry at the expense of bowlers.
Pakistan scored 4764d in their first innings. Former all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez had also criticised the pitch.
“Slow & dead pitch.. above all low intent so far fading out chances of result in this historic test match. One team have to play very poorly to give a result in this test match. Result oriented cricket is the future of Test cricket not dead drawn games please.”
The Test is heading to a boring draw, with the Aussies playing well in their first innings.
